Support from the Library

Subject librarians at SF State are available to support library resource use and integration of information competency/information literacy into your GWAR courses.

We provide:

  • Faculty Consultations - Including one on one information sessions/training on new and existing library databases and other resources, collaboration on the development of library-related assignments, and development of class specific support materials (including pathfinders and instructional guides).
  • Library Instruction –Including class library sessions (Course Integrated Seminars) and/or customized small group workshops (for five or more SF State students, staff, and/or faculty). Typical areas of instruction include using the library online catalog (InvestiGator), journal databases, electronic journals, and subject related tools.
  • Research Assistance- Including one on one point of need assistance for students, faculty and staff available in person, by email, IM , or phone.
