GWAR Workshops

(1) November 12, 12 to 1:30 p.m., Burk Hall 321: Peer Response Workshop---Using Peer Response in Writing Intensive Classrooms. Hosted by Patricia Irvine, Associate Dean of Education, and Mary Soliday, WAC Director.

(2) January 09, Academic Senate Retreat

Making Effective Assignments: The View From Student Perception Research

3)    January 2008, CWEP hosted a day-long Writing Colloquium to solicit input from every college on the criteria for GWAR courses. 84 faculty members, representing 47 departments, attended.

Materials include a description of WAC; and samples of criteria
for writing intensive courses at other institutions faculty consulted
before they broke into college-wide groups to develop criteria in
response to prompts.

4) GWAR Workshops, June & August 2009

        Materials include essay by Toby Fulwiler

        by Derek Bok; informal writing prompts;

        and course objectives for BECA 300
